Mapping the Private Wealth System

An invitation to see, understand, and reimagine the private wealth system.

Mapping the Private Wealth System is an invitation to see, understand, and reimagine how private wealth shapes our world. Developed by the Coalition for Impact (C4i) in collaboration with Omplexity, the report asks us to look beyond wealth accumulation and consider how financial resources can be deployed for the preservation and improvement of all life.

The report features two system maps: a Current System Map, which illustrates the dynamics that concentrate wealth, externalize costs, and perpetuate the global polycrisis, and a Simplified System Map, which highlights the key themes surfaced during a deeply participatory process of interviews and workshops with C4i members and partners. These maps are not meant to be static answers, but living tools—resources you can revisit, adapt, and use to spark reflection, connection, and coordinated action.

Alongside the maps, you’ll find guidance for individuals, families, organizations, and coalitions on how to use this work. Whether you are reflecting on your own role, aligning family or organizational strategy, or building collective action, the report offers a pathway to connect personal intention with systemic transformation.

Ultimately, this work is a starting point. It reminds us that systems change is relational, iterative, and imperfect—but possible when we act together. By engaging with this report, you’re stepping into a broader movement to reimagine private wealth as a driver of regenerative solutions and a force for systemic change.
